The Weekly Review
June 27th, 2026
Hi there! Welcome to The Weekly Review! Can you believe it is already the end of JUNE?! Crazy! Time is flying. I hope this review finds you doing well! Down here in the South, we have been either dealing with blazing heat or torrential downpours. No in between. Wild stuff. Got a good one today so let’s jump into it!
Things I Found Interesting
All article links are in bold italics.
I absolutely love being outside in the sunlight. It gives me so much life and energy to feel the sun on my skin. I may go a little overboard because I’ll end up sunburned. I am trying to do better but I am just not a huge believer in some toxic sunscreens (don’t get my started on my conspiracies). Turns out, sunlight on bare skin is actually healthy for you! Just in moderation.
It is funny how things always come full circle. 90’s style is starting to become a trend, wired headphones are popular, and now, digital watches are becoming popular once againi. I love this. We have lost the plot when it comes to smart watches. Constant notifications and tracking every wellness metric has caused us to be overwhelmed. Return to the basics!
One of my favorite golfers right now is Jake Knapp. Besides his really cool first name and one of the purest golf swings I have ever seen, he has such a cool mentality when it comes to golf and life. Plus, his story is pretty incredible.
A friend sent me this last week and it was really interesting. A dialect quiz from the New York Times. Fun quiz that can pretty much pinpoint where you are from based on how you say things. Let me know what you get!
Picture of the Week
On My Mind
You are what you pay attention to. It feels like every week I find myself battling this idea of deleting all social media and reverting back to a flip phone. Then I realized: the phone isn't evil, it’s how I use it. What am I paying attention to? Social media and comparing myself to others? Or using it to find motivation and continue to grow my life? Moving forward, I am focused on having the discipline to use my phone for good so that I can pay better attention to the things that lift me up and in turn, lift others up.
Workout for the Week
It is full on summer time and I have been loving my workout routine lately. Lifting heavier, moving quickly, and working up a sweat each day. This workout below is a burner! The goal is to pick up a pair of dumbbells and complete each movement WITHOUT putting the dumbbells down. A nasty arm pump is on deck, let’s get after it!
WARM-UP:
Dynamic Stretches
Jumping Jacks - 20
Wrist & Arm Circles - 20 forward, 20 backward
WORKOUT:
5 Rounds, DO NOT put down the dumbbells until a round is complete.
Dumbbell Curls - 10
Dumbbell Lateral Raises - 12
Dumbbell Rows - 10 Each Side
Dumbbell Push Press - 12
Rest as needed, but minimally.
COOLDOWN:
Walk
Breathwork
GET SOME.
*P.S. If you are traveling this summer and want some workouts you can do on the road, shoot me a DM and I will give you some!
What I’m Listening To
This song is just so good. Love it.
Motivation for the Week
“Your inner monologue determines your outer actions. The most powerful story in the world is the one you tell yourself.”
- Shane ParrishFinal Word
Got sunshine on the radar for the weekend so my goal is to get off my phone, stray away from screens, and spend time outside.
Something I want us to remember this weekend: time is precious. Time with loved ones, time with friends, time spent relaxing or working. All of it is precious. We can never, ever buy back a moment of time. How are you using it? Wasting time on useless things, or being present and enjoying every moment you have with those that matter most to you?
Use your time wisely this weekend. Have a great one!
Cheers,

Needed a quick workout at my in law’s house. Just knocked out 5 rounds of this burner.
