The Weekly Review
January 24th, 2026
Hello there! Welcome back to another edition of the Weekly Review. Woke up today another year older! Thankful, full of gratitude, and excited for the next chapter. I was gifted a new watch, an awesome new pennant for the garage, and some incredibly cold weather. Birthday weekend plans will consist of sitting inside, reading a good book, watching some movies, and taking it easy. So, with that being said, let’s dive into this week’s review!
In Case You Missed It
I wrote another edition of my Lessons article series that I will try to release on my birthday each year. Here is this year’s version:
Things I Found Interesting
All article links are in bold italics.
Y’all know I am all about improving my style and hopefully inspiring others to work on theirs! A specific area I would love to see people dress better is the airport. I am not saying you have to wear something crazy nice. A put together athletic fit would work, however, pajamas are not allowed. For some inspiration, check out airport style from the 90s.
I have a prediction that our overreliance on technology as a society, paired with the inauthentic content of artificial intelligence is going to spark people to go back to “analog.” Pen and paper. Journals. I am all for it.
As I am nearing my 30s, there is something I notice about us adults. Specifically, for my fellas. It’s the lack of friendships and keeping good relationships. It’s tough. We get busy, life happens, and time goes by. However, we can’t let that be an excuse. Here’s how to keep friends after you turn 30.
I have a love/hate relationship with the news. Too much of it will drive you insane but not paying attention to anything isn’t really wise. I strive to have a general sense of things going on. I found this interesting list of conflicts to be aware of in 2026.
Picture of the Week
On My Mind
Try to make the best out of any situation. This past week, as I was prepping for the winter weather to come in, I went to refill my propane tanks. Drove all the way to the place I usually go to and they told me their nozzle was broke and couldn’t refill them. I was slightly bummed because I felt like I wasted a trip. But then I dropped that line of thinking, got them to tell me somewhere else I could go and found a new spot to refill my tanks. Much closer to my house as well! All in all, it was a good thing. I know that might be small and silly but I want the point to be: You have the power to be optimistic in every situation.

Song of the Week
Have been on my country fix lately and I have been really enjoying it. Love this song!
Motivation for the Week
"Always play the hand you have, not the one you wish you had."
- Garry TanLove, love, love this quote. How many times do we catch ourselves wishing for a better opportunity or wishing things were different? Because if they were, we would be doing so much better! At least that is what we tell ourselves. This quote serves as a powerful reminder that we must play the hand we have, not the one we wish we had. Using what is already yours and taking advantage of the things you can control.
This is a quote I want to apply in this next year of my life. Not wishing it away or blaming things I can’t control, but instead, being grateful for what I have and making the best of it.
Final Word
Man, nothing like a birthday. I honestly love them. Gives me a moment to pause and reflect on who I am, where I’ve been, and where I’m going. Very grateful for this past year and what it has taught me.
Now, time to relax and watch my favorite James Bond movies and read a book! Have a great one.
Cheers,
