The Weekly Review
August 1st, 2026 / Summer-maxxing, creepy robots, and a kettlebell workout!
Hey there! Welcome back to The Weekly Review, August edition! Wow. The year seems to be flying by. School has started back in the area (which feels really early), vacations are wrapping up, and routines begin to take shape once again. Life and time moves on. It’s a scary but beautiful reality when you sit and think about it. Also, side bar, I saw the new Spiderman movie this week and it was incredible. Go check it out. Okay, lots to get into today so let’s dive in!
Things I Found Interesting
All article links are in bold italics.
Last weekend, my wife and I went and saw The Odyssey. It was really good and had some incredible scenes. After the movie, I learned that Matt Damon’s stunt double was a 4’6” woman. So cool!
As summer is slowly coming to a close, a very modern question I have been seeing - are you summer-maxxing correctly?
I, VERY thankfully, have lots of readers from all over. Saying that is surreal and I love connecting with y’all. Got me thinking - who has the best state? Check out this recent list of best states in the U.S.
Click here to see the creepiest robot that is being made. Super cool concept but man, they made this thing look terrifying.
Picture of the Week
On My Mind
Lead by example. Over the last couple of years, I have been trying to live by the idea of never asking someone to do something I am not willing to do. Also, I believe in leading by example. Our lives show our beliefs. I am a Christian, follower of Christ, but does my life reflect that? I believe in fitness and wellness, but do my actions prove that? Have your beliefs. Live them out. Inspire others.
Workout for the Week
I once again have fallen in love with kettlebells. They are so much fun to throw around and you can do so much with one. As you might can guess, for today’s workout, all you need is one kettlebell. Let’s get after it!

Motivation for the Week
“In the short term, you are as good as your intensity. In the long term, you are only as good as your consistency.”
- Shane ParrishFinal Word
Off to a wedding this weekend. Doing my best to pause and enjoy the busyness that life brings us. Not to check one more thing off the list, but to create a memory to look back on and cherish.
Have a great one!
Cheers,
